Maybe we should create new / more He by operating more nuclear facilities?!?!?!
You would need a fusion reactor to convert Hydrogen to Helium. :-)

Re: Wipika Vs. Newer Kites

I got a great deal on a 2016 Best Roca 10m. The deal became even better when it turned out they were out of stock of the 2016...I got a 2017 instead for the same price! Wahoo!

Re: Wipika Vs. Newer Kites

Five year hiatus because I've been too busy sailing and flying radio control helicopters. First time out I'll try the OR...if significantly less well behaved than the nice kites I used while training, then I'll consider upgrading. I am overwhelmed by all the different kites available...they all seem...

Jim from Philadelphia, sailing at LBI

Hi everyone, I am thrilled to be here! I've just taken lessons in Mexico and am comfortable with basic riding. I need some decent air so I can advance to riding upwind and such. I come from sailing, windsurfing, flying sailplanes, scuba, etc. This is about the last thing on my bucket list. I have a ...

Re: Wipika Vs. Newer Kites

Well, I'm happy to say I'm all squared away. I went to Isla Blanca, Mexico for six days. Had three solid days of instruction and can now get up and ride. Winds were mostly light, so had 14m and 17m kites. What a difference the current kites are compared to the Wipikas! Had to sine the kites alot to ...

Lakes Bay Kiteboard Beach Deserted Last Saturday!

I went to Lakes Bay this past Saturday, expecting tons of people out enjoying good winds in the morning and wonderful blue skies. 4-5 windsurfers out, but no kiteboarders.

Where the heck was everyone???

Re: Wipika Vs. Newer Kites

I managed to sell my 1997 vintage windsurfing gear, flipped the money and got a 2009 Ocean Rodeo Rise 12M with 2011 freeride bar. These past few days have been a fascinating and rewarding learning experience. Unfortunately, I'm out of town till the 19, so my first shot will be at Lakes Bay upon my r...

Re: Wipika Vs. Newer Kites

The old gear of the vintage your talking was light years different from what we are currently using. I literally chuckled when reading your initial post about not seeing the difference. It helps to know what your looking at! Those old wipis have all kinds of lift, but they stall really easily, fall...
