Re: One Board - Kite and Surf Foiling

I got a 5.6 tomo vanguard with intentions of putting in tracks for combo board....surfboard, surf foil, kite foil, kite surfboard. It is just barely big enough to surf but short enough to be fun kitesurf too. A combo board is great for travel. I already have that for kite foil and kite surf.....bws...

Re: North Neo vs Cabrinha Drifter for wave/freeride

I ha been riding bws for years and lately ocean rodeo roam. Waves when there are any and foiling when not. Ilike to go straight ddownwind in the swells so max drift is appreciated. I just got a liquid force wow. Fun kite but the slightly less drift is noticeable. Wants to fly forward more actively, ...

Re: Scam alert - poses as he’s from Atlanta, GA and asks to do Google pay

I reported this guy a number of times to ikitesurf. They are pretty quick to remove. He posts from various cities usually not common kite locations. Ads are always direct ripoffs from old ads.

if price too good to be true. ..probably is a scam

Re: old fart round the world tour

WOW! Good on ya, that's sounds incredibly awesome. I did a 9 month RTW trip nearly 25 years ago. Now also starting to think of travel on the other side of work and career. :-) Do some googling on RTW fares, I suspect there's lots of online discussion about it. When we did ours, there was a travel ag...

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

The current spitfire wings mainly seem to address the ventilation issue by having the main wing farther back and deeper than the front wing. As I understand it, one of the main advantages of a canard is that the rear wing is providing the majority of the lift. So a front wing breach is not necessar...

Re: Bracuru Hover board - Excellent !

I have been of the opinion that board is irrelevant. Once flying you could be on a cafeteria tray. But now that I'm trying a wakeskate with nearly no flotation I can confirm board matters in light wind.....I've had my wakeskate submerged knee deep trying to get going. I think a stubby wide board wou...

Re: Wakeskate and foil

do you seal the holes in the deck with epoxy to make it water resistant? I didn't. Drilled 4 holes and had at her, as per the Green Hat video way back on page 1. Probably should, for longevity. I have a paipo made by a friend, he used arrow shafts glassed in as "through hulls". I've done the same w...

Im telling you, a skate is just that little bit too small for a lighter wind get up. The skim is about the right size and rocker to make it work.
this wakeskate found it's way to me relatively cheap. Fun experiment. I'll watch for a skim.

Re: Wakeskate and foil

Here’s my go at it. Seems to have pros and cons so far. Pros:  Really nimble under foot. Feels like turns are tighter with less swing weight (may be my imagination)  A lot lighter overall Cons:  Body dragging out past the kelp is slightly harder.  Quite challenging in low wind. At times I’ve had...
