Re: From zero to...board. Done.

Is it 15-20 or 40-50? :remybussi: 15-20 standing, 40-50 bouncing... you didn't highlight that bit lol Nah mate, get the N. XRide 129cm board and stand on it, you'll see how flexy that board is. Comparing to this board, Xride is at leat 20% more flex. This is no competition, by all means, just inter...

Re: From zero to...board

Looking good man. Remember too sijandy. Down under is not a large guy. He doesn't need to make a strong board for a heavy dude. Me neither. Unfortunately, from your pics I think I have my answers. Was hoping you had some mad secret techniques I could steal lol but I think our methods are pretty muc...

Re: Help with how i should fix a cracked crazyfly board

Dude, that board is done. Toss it in the trash and get a new one. Maybe... maybe not, cannot say from just a picture. Seeing as you've got the epoxy you might as well give it a go. Personally, I think id open it up a little without causing delam, get as much epoxy in and along the crack and then a ...

Re: From zero to...board

Ha ha sijandy still not a believer?! Ok, I'll make a vid after I finish this board. I've used 220+120 grams FG on top for this one, it would be even lighter with only 220. Mind you, the tips are just 3mm for like =>10cm, than steady going thicker. And I can't bent it with my hands (do not want too ...

I still don't know how you get away with using so little glass without it being way too flexi or snapping. Can you post some pics to demonstrate the flex?

Yeah seeing as your gonna be mixing up anyway, might as well. Don't get too carried away though, remember the more you put on, the more your gonna take off (sanding).

Re: Quick epoxy fix for board advice

Do it properly. Epoxy is just the glue, glass takes the force. So sand down, lay up (hand lay up does it), sand even, hot coat. For a larger repair i would agree but for this epoxy filler will be fine. Mix some collodial silica with the epoxy to thicken it up, make sure to dig out any loose stuff a...

Re: Why is this happening to my board and how to fix it

I'm guessing your boards are a few years old and it looks like the top coat is cracking, because some of the plasticizer has evaporated. The glass underneath is probably fine. Take a small piece of 200 or 400 grit sandpaper, fold in half and with the edge lightly sand along the crack. Try not to sa...
