Re: light wind surfboard vs foil board

thanks for that. I did not know that Naish had a board with that middle fin. I know the flydoor and I also bought and tested that middle fin from the flydoor (original, directly from flysurfer) which is actually quite good but became too small for me but that fin was good fun. I will also post a pho...

Re: light wind surfboard VS foil board
Any photos? I was thinking of adding a center fin to my Shinn King GEE
ok. I will post some photos.. I tried that fin on every old board I have/had and it improves everything! Can you sell your old boards with that middle fin (after you drilled the 2 wholes which is super easy). Ye...

Re: light wind surfboard vs foil board

I'm curious , why more work wasn't done , for that idea ; does it screw-Up the handling a bunch , (in light wind) ? Bille I have not ridden the extendable huge fin myself but I spoke to some people who did. Nobody was really crazy about it. The fun must be limited. The problem with middle fins is: ...

Re: light wind surfboard VS foil board

yes, not really my idea I admit :) but the way I built the mid fin is excellent much better than what I have seen and tested elsewhere... anyway it is worth to fool around with it.. don´t do it conic or whatever you call it otherwise going downwind is a pain in the ass and that is the reason why fly...

Re: light wind surfboard VS foil board

The thing about doors is that despite being able to go incredibly early, It's always a door! Glassing along.... on a door. They carve.... like a door. The take off and land.... like a door. They surf like a door. A door is just never great. that says it all. Thanks for that! I have been using twint...

Re: Best Light Wind Inflatable 2011

the original was the Rhino 2 -20m, that kite was a beast! - Pulled in 8 knots but had a very limited top end.... I had a Flysurfer 15.5m which was about the same in terms of pull, but had more float. I had the same 2 kites, the 15.5 flysurfer was a Psycho1 and it is quite amazing that I finally fin...

Re: thoughts on the Flysurfer FlyRace board?

thanks so much, great analysis - I can get the feel of what you mean.. I had a fly race for about 6 months , got a hell of a lot of use out of it , traded it about 3 months ago for a 190 x 70 naish 2012 Venturi race board . Pro' s and con' s for the flyrace. pro's The fly surfer flyrace gets going i...

Re: RRD Obsession 2012 vs Cabrinha Switchblade 2012

BTW I would also like to know whether the 2012 Obsession 15m² has a good low end and how fast it turns and how much bar pressure it has...

Re: RRD Obsession 2012 vs Cabrinha Switchblade 2012

I have owned a brandnew Switchblade 12 in 2010 but I sold it again quickly. It´s a good kite. It´s a bow kite (total depower etc.) and the bar pressures were too heavy for me. It does everything well but there was no joy with it. I am looking at the mentioned obsession here becauce many people at ou...

Re: Heavy Rider

I am 220lbs. I used to fly flysurfers (Psycho1 in 15.5 and 12.5). They are fun but expensive. The only one to consider today is the Speed3 21. It will win the race to be the first one out there on the water IF you are heavy. But it is a Ramair. I don´t know whether you want to bother with that witho...
