Re: Cold Glove & Boot Recommendations

I have beenusing Mystic open palm mits. they have been more than warm enough so far and you can easily take them off your fingers when you need them for adjusting your depower strap or whatever. The open palm saves your arms from getting tired quickly like they do if you are trying to hold your bar ...

Re: monk or hadlow. help please

Shinn boards look like they were made in the 1950's - by someone's mum.... and since there are a lot of other great boards out there that don't...

Re: High buoyancy rating vest suggestions?

Crewsaver 50n Kite.

Sits high and out of the way. very adjustable fit. Takes a fairly major crash for it to ride up at all and its easily pulled back into place.

Re: Been flying trainer, any suggestions before a lesson?

If its got a chicken loop on the bar You could try lying on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the sand. Put the kite to 11 or 1 and swing it accross the window to simulate a waterstart. Let the kite pull you to your feet through your harness while keeping your grip on the bar relaxed. ...

Re: Naish Park 2013 Bar options

I have 2010 and 2011 uni con bars - The depower rope is getting worn on the 2010 but thats to be expected. other than that they are mint.

Bought them both used last year and the 2010 has done 100+ sessions since then.

Naish gear is top quality from what I can tell.

Re: Naish Park 2014 review

Has anyone tried a smaller size yet? 5m or 6m? I need something to sit below my 7.5m Cult for when its over 35 knots and for wave riding.

I like the Parks in the bigger sizes - I have 10m & 12m (2011 & 2012) but not tried anything smaller

Re: Please Lose the Straps

Straps are what makes things possible on a kiteboard that are not possible on a surf board - which is a thing you paddle with your arms. Why limit yorself. If you want to go surfing you should lose the kite too. I'm pretty new to kiteboarding and the only thing I don't like about it is the way every...

Freestyle Kite?

I'm working my way through basic freestyle tricks like back loops, frontloops and various aerial transitions at the moment using a mixed quiver of Naish Parks and Bolts 2011 & 2012. Is it worth getting a dedicated freestyle kite to advance into Raileys, S Bends, F16s and so on? What would be a good ...
