Re: lf hifi 09 15 meter

I own this kite and like it a lot.

It is very easy to fly, very friendly.

I do not regard it a super low end kite, C kites needs more windspeed, but 14 knots is no problem, depending on condition, board and weight.

Re: C kites -- Which one?

I am right now flying with liquid force HiFi 2009 (not the comp).
Flies like C kites, good depower and very easy to handle. You can start them like a like a bow by pulling a backline.
They get my thumps up.

But there are other good C kites on the market...

alexprehn123: You must do a bit better than that: Why does sigma suck? Some of my friends sail sigma, and they are happy with what they have. The only gripe I have with sigma is that some of these kites, the more high aspect ones, require a bit more attention when you make an lauch assist with your ...

Re: Light wind freestyle board - please advice

I have had both a spleene session, a Nobile 666Ext and a WLF. The Nobile has a good low end, having a very grippy rail when going upwind. It function reasonable well in chop. It feel a bit heavy, not a real problem. the straps was not good, my feet keep slipping out of them (it was the 2008 version ...

Re: LF HIFI 2009 12m

I think you need at least 8ms, and a efficient board to get going with a LF Hifi 2009 12m. I think the Nemi, being a SLE kite, has better lowend than the Hifi (I have not tried the Nemi). If you insist on using a small kite at 7ms I think you should look for at North Rhino 2008 or 2009 or a f.One Ba...

Re: liquid force WLF

I have owned both the Nobile Ext 143x48 2007 and a Spleene session 2006. Now I have the WLF Ltd 2009. The Nobile and the spleene session has better lowend, but can not compete with the WLF in chop handling and agility. I agree with the comment about the 2009 being stiff, but it does still handle cho...

Re: IKA officially launches Olympic Campaign

I think kiting at the olympics would be fine, but on kiting conditions: Each kiter should be able to select their own gear. The same-gear for everybody might make sense for expensive boats. But the special about kite surfing is that the equipment is CHEAP (a least comparing to boats). I do not see w...

Re: Liquid Force WLF

cons: A bit slower in the lowend compared to other lightwindboards in the same range, especially upwind. Once the wind picks up a bit it has good performance. pro: Works very well in chop and waves. Do also work when the wind picks up. You do not have problems with control and spray like many other ...

Re: Urethane rails?

I do not know.

It was mentioned in a presentation of the kaos board in Danish. The reason for using this material is to allow the board to flex more without breaking.
