Re: Fastest turning wave/boost kite

When you have a kite with a pivoting turn, yeah it's going to turn fast, but will you be powered through those turns? No, not at all. i mean, they will still have their place in the kiting community, begginer loopers probably love them since they don't deliver a gut wrenching yank. Sure thing macho...

Re: Best Kite for Downwinders- Recomendations.

twin tip or surfboard? On a surfboard your generally riding waves and better off with a kite that shuts off, drifts and turns well with low line tension. Thats different from riding slightly off the wind line tensioned while playing your edge and looking to boost. Drift is a real low line tension tr...

Re: Best Kite for Downwinders- Recomendations.

I guess that totally depends on what your doing. Down in Hatteras there are two very different options, so two very different kites. Now with foiling, there is at least a third. Sound side hitting all the slicks is super fun and screams for an all out C kite. You lose so much ground when unhooking s...

Re: Red Bull Megaloop in the Netherlands

They were so overpowered, it was really onshore and there was crazy sweep. Super tough conditions. Watched enough to see state of the art kites rattling, surging and jellyfishing all over the place. We're any actually on 9m kites !? Mortals are overpowered on 7's in 40 knots and there looked to be m...

Re: Red Bull Megaloop in the Netherlands

Lasses Walker scored a 9.0 and a 9.5 ! They were pretty impressive. Might even have been in the same heat. All of it after a decent crash.

Re: What is your wave quiver?

As so often people ended up listing the brand and model of their equipment (who cares) without actually explaining their choices or preferences. Used to use a 5'8" fish for a lot of riding. Very nice 32L quad for small waves and chop, but then foiling happened and it went to the basement. I'll foil...

Re: I hate the wmfg pump

Its not ignoring it, it is a matter of focal point. You do engage your core, and you will engage many muscles like lats, and triceps, but the main muscles to use are the legs. You'll also use your weight when you push down, but using your back to pull up is asking for problems. You can see it on yo...
