I've snapped all the fins off at various times, just wish I could say it was smacking lips. For me it's usually misjudging depth!

If only you were in Cape Town. Paul Lagesse at Second Wind Sails would fix it perfectly for a fair price. Wish we could clone him!

Kevin is amazing. He could probably ride that well on my ancient 6' Global with loose plastic quad fins. Hope to see him and Jalou in Cape Town again in a couple of weeks time. Can't wait.

Use the spots page here on kiteforum to help find suitable sites. Agreed on Witsand and Stillbay on the way, and bungi jump at Bloukrans. If you go all the way to Jeffries Bay, you might catch an awesome SW session, but be aware the conditions get serious. And don't forget the King of the Air, well ...

All the way up the east coast of South Africa are endless right hand points. Challenging to get to many of them on a kite, but can be done.

Cape Town is definitely getting crowded in the summers, but it is easy to go upwind or downwind from the main launch sites, and most anywhere else in the country you will be lucky to find another kiter. I would have thought OBX would be busier, but as long as you stay away from kite point, and espec...
