I would get the Boxer1 if the price difference is more than 20%. The Boxer2 will have a better resale value, but they are virtually the same otherwise.

8m is a Boxer2 it is a new size for this year.

A friend has one which he is very happy with and it seems to have a similar wind range to the 9m, which is 20 - 30knots, gusts to 35 with 20m lines.

I agree with the message above, and previously had a X3 14. The Boxer 9 and 12 are excellent kites, and very good for waveriding. I use 20m lines for waveriding and the 9 and 12m are both better than the X2/X3 8m for waveriding.

20 to 30 knots is also my windrange, 85kg, can handle gusts to 35 with 20m lines.
