looks like it is working ok... but very cumbersome to attach to harness each time on beach before kiting. or you always leave the harness fixed to the bar/kite when you finish?
also really nothing to give you resistance or a good grip when you want to quick release 🤔i

Why not just use a carabiner? Less than $10 for me personally, after 20 years of hooked-in kite-surfing, this is absolutely the lightest, safest, most simple and cheapest (non rope-wearing) solution.
