Sorry, I resurrect this topic, but my issue is quite similar. I own two north rebels (12m/9m) and two 24m bars (I bought the second one used, for backup). I now got a 7m rebel for high winds, but I was thinking of shortening the lines on one bar for it (from bar side), let's say at ...20m? What is y...
Apart from what is already said, I would like to say that some time ago (not much, this summer), I saw Dimitri kiting at Nissakia (Greece). It wasn't windy enough and someone, probably beginner, fell off. Dimitri went really downwind and grabbed his kite and took it outside. I have never seen someo...

Do you believe that those are worth for a non beginner?

Some comments (north user): *"Conversion from 4 to 5 lines": :thumb: (other brands use it already) *"PU center lines": :thumb: (other brands use it already) I would like this too to have. *"Configurable Y": :thumb: *Cost: it is pretty high (as many north products), but I see that also Cabrinha, Nais...
I have rebels and I think of them as super safe. The fifth line, their friendly flight characteristics and their slow speed (not too good to me) makes rebel a safe choice.
Evo is also ok and more simple as it lacks one line. Overall, both are good choices.
A week ago, I was trying to get my kite (north rebel) on the air, using my 2013 bar, which has been used in the past without any problem. The air was too gusty and when the kite was finally up (noon), a strong gust hit me. It got my whole body out of water for some seconds, but still no panic, I wai...
I think that North always (more or less) brings out the new kites at the same season and order. So if you buy a 2016 kite, knowing that 2017 is comming in a month, you should probably get a good discount (~20%). Usually there are just a few models/sizes left at the stores then.
Isn't there anyone that sells ready extensions that connect using the knots/loops of the kite?
I would buy, let's say, a 5m ext. lines for my north 5line bar.
