Re: Ocean Rodeo 2014 Prodigy Review

You're welcome John Z :) thanks again for your attention to the kite and making fast progression a reality for me. 2 days ago took the 12 out in waves riding ur OR 159 Origin Lite. 10-13 kts zero whitecaps, 2ft swell = front and backroll loops landing toeside (my latest tricks!) & staying upwind eas...

Re: New board from Ocean Rodeo... Origin 142x47

Ok then, You've gone from Posting A Review of a board you said you loved and how it was so awesome at everything, to now l8r, in the same thread, saying that you won't ever use it. That's what I don't get Especially as, at this point, you've referred the whole thread to an Axis Limited worshipping s...

Ocean Rodeo 2014 Prodigy Review

2 warnings 1. mini novel sized review ahead 2. I work for a school. We were looking for a kite that had little to no restrictions for learner's. I won't name other brands but I will say we tried a lot of brands and models that did certain thing's well and other's not so well. Some of these kite's we...

Re: New board from Ocean Rodeo... Origin 142x47

^^^^^^^^^^ Hey Kami, I can respect your froth on this board, it looks right. I'm getting this one & the lite this weekend. I have the Shinn King Gee 146 x 46 to compare to. So I'm all excited by your review then this last comment you made threw me as you previously claimed, (about the Origin) "I don...

Re: North Spike VS Spleene Door

big flat board are for fat kooks. get a biiger kite, 8-20kts is 14-16m wind , not 10m. At that weight you shouldnt need a 10m until at least 22knts. tell your friend to sell his 10m and get a bigger kite, he will have alot more fun in those winds. comments like this really should be ignored. What m...

Re: Epic Kites 3rd Generation. 3G II

Hey All, I have scored a couple of epics after demoing through Nigel in Qld Australia. I tried the 9 but for the moment I am packing the Infinity V2 and the Renegade 3G 11m. The 9 jumps high and quick and is easy to land, but the wind here is more applicable to the 11 and Infinity. The Infinity IMO ...

Re: Help!! Epic Kite Renegade 9m 2011

hey LGA, I looked up the current predictions for your area on wind guru as you posted and it seems to me mostly moderate winds. There is still a month or two of wind left in our season in the southern hemisphere. I thought you would be better off with the 11 or 13 renegade? The 11, as you may or may...

Re: 2010 Slingshot Octane

The Octane does not "backstall" automatically if you go last knots on the front and pull right in on the rear. I have the 11m & This is simply not true in my experience. But you have to learn to use the various trimming options to get the most out of this kite, and there is a lot to get. This kite h...

Re: A 9 year old learning to kite with Outer Banks Kiting.

Whenever I see a young kiter like this lad, it just amazes me. As a worrier and father of two, I don't think I could stand by and watch my 11 yr old go out on his own, too many what if's. None of my family seems to have any interest in kiting, I can barely get them to go with me. You must be a pret...

Re: Why directional

skateboards, snowboards, landboards, wakeboards,,, all multi directional beasts... Strapped tow-in surfboards, strapped kitesurfboards, strapped windsurfboards.... ....on a Wave the size of JAWS....all directional Predators :winner2: Maybe the Titanic.. could have avoided that pesky iceberg....if t...
