Re: 2021 Ozone Contact Water V4 bar depower issue

Of course if you’re well powered there is always going to be some resistance when you trim in, I usually bear off downwind slightly to reduce pull from the kite and trim in at the same time. If the load is greatly reduced, like going down wind or keeping the kite at 12 o'clock, I will be able to tr...

Re: 2021 Ozone Contact Water V4 bar depower issue

Sounds strange to me. Should not need that much force. Without a kite attached to it. Can you trim it then without force? Yes when "not loaded" there is zero resistance. I also tried on land, I attached the flying lines to something solid like a wall and I let myself hang in the harness, it's almos...

It is quite hard to do. I think the handle needs to be bigger, it would make it considerably easier to use. Pull it outwards then pull down.
Yeah, I tried that but even you need to pull very hard and it is difficult while riding.

2021 Ozone Contact Water V4 bar depower issue

Hi, I've been kitting since 2012 and this is the first time I have an issue with a an above the bar depower. It's a brand new 2021 Ozone Contact water V4 bar that I bought a few months ago and tried it on four different sessions in winds between 12 to 18 Knots with a 12m kite. The problem is it very...

Re: Water repellent spray... again

Still, having the low end in lull winds is very important for not crashing the kite so I don't see how it is going to help since the kite is going to be heavier.
I guess only by testing it you would see the real trade off in kite flying that is.

Re: Water repellent spray... again

This sounds contradictory but you add weight to your kite by spraying a product on it in order to save weight when it's wet?

Surf straps on a twintip

I want to replace the existing straps on my twintip with new Surf specific straps. I intend to keep the same pads. I believe (unless i'm wrong) that surf straps will give more mobility to pivot my front foot when going in a straight line or riding toe side and at the same time be more friendly on my...

Re: Slingshot Rally vs Z

The Z is the easiest kite to relaunch (even easier than the Rally). I used to own a Z (the first year) but the material back then rip twice from leading to trailing edge. I was told it was a munufactured defect. Anyway Slingshot compensated me and now own a Rally which I like but still miss the inst...

Re: Waterproof Equipment for receiving emails while Kitesurfing

I use my android phone put inside a waterproof pouch around my neck and a Pebble classic watch. It is very convenient to read SMS messages as you can use the up-down buttons to scroll the entire message. You can read the subject lines of emails also. in addition, I have composed pretty canned messag...
