I've been to Fortaleza a while back. I'm not sure if renting a car is the best option, traffic was crazy and the roads not so well kept - that was 6 years ago maybe. Travel in Brazil relies a lot on travel agency support, maybe you can book a bus or a van for the ride through one.

the strips i bought of ebay for $8 comes with 8 strips works perfectly, just came of a 2 hour session and it didn't fog up even a bit.
