Re: Aluula Aeris: an even lighter Aluula

But it felt very nervous and « brutal » in the gusts. Like every bit of wind power goes to your arms Sounds like you were on two carbon handles. I find that setup to be pretty harsh too (on the A-Series). I settled on using a carbon handle in front and a soft handle in back and it really smooths th...

Re: Aluula Aeris: an even lighter Aluula

I was lucky enough to put my hands on a demo of the glide V2 wing. 5m. I was super exited to try it. Wing was pretty bad 12 to 20+ very gusty and shifty. I rode it for about 1 hour, so not a comprehensive test by any mean. I was riding a unit dlab 6m (a bit over powered) for the first hour and then ...

I’m on my third season with 2 Aluula kites, a Roam and a Flite
No problem whatsoever so far!
Same here… 2 Aluula OR kites (4th seasons) 2 Aluula duotone wings (2nd season). Aluula still going strong. Canopy if wearing off quicker than Aluula so far.

Re: Aluula Aeris: an even lighter Aluula

There are other Dyneema wings hitting the market:
https://onkiteboarding.com/collections/ ... neema-wing
And
https://www.fiveowindsports.com/

It would be interesting to see how they compare with the aeris-x wing.

Re: Naish Aluula Prototype

That is amazing thanks for confirming. Am I going crazy or is that Aeris-x canopy? That would be Insanely awesome. I read that for the time being Aeris-x was only for Ocean Rodeo to use. Probably same thing they did when they launched Aluula gold. So I would assume OR will be the first to launch a ...

Re: Ocean Rodeo Glide AA Gen2 Unboxing

How is the wind range? Wondering if the new canopy material did anything to low and/or high end.

Re: Aluula Aeris: an even lighter Aluula

Hi Everyone, Just received my 5m Glide Gen2 AA (Aeris, Aluula Graflite) With the Handles it weighs 1.7kg. 100g less than the Glide Gen 1 5m (however the real size of the Gen 1 was 4.6m). Do you know if it is still a prototype ? Or is it the pre-production / final production version? Please keep pos...

Re: Aluula Aeris: an even lighter Aluula

I think they're barking up the wrong tree chasing weight and strength with no expense spared. To me the point is not necessarily about performance. I see it more with a perspective on durability, practicality and fun of use. I have the same 2 Aluula roam kites (7 and 10) for like 3 years now. First...

And I hope this doesn’t add another $1000 to the cost of a kite or wing. Grrrr.
I'm sure it will... but they are promising a sub 1kg 10m kite that pulls like a 17m, that last twice the time with no degradation in performance... might be worth it!
