Re: Leaks in bladder around valves

Thanks for the reply guys. Gluing back the valves was no issue. I removed the salt easily through the inflate valve since the crystals were all dry. I can imagine salt crystals can cause leaks in an old bladder but only around (every) valve is very strange. Still need to test it so we will see what ...

Leaks in bladder around valves

So i have a leading edge bladder where all the valves needed to be glued on. When inflating i found out around every valve in a radius of 2-3 cm's there are little leaks. Could this happen by salt in the bladder? Right now im glueing all pieces of bladder around it amd hopefully that's it. There is ...

Re: Liquid Force MaxFlow Valve Pop?

I'm also riding LF kites since 2013 and it never happened to me. What i do is when i'm rolling up the kite i push the flap completely in the valve. (all gentle of course) When i start inflating i always pull the flap back up. Not always the pressure brings back the flap in position. Then you could l...

Re: Front or back heli loops for soft landings after jump?

My knees are worn out from years of kiting. Still I love to jump in strong wind... I know it's not good for my knees but the feeling of feeling alive can't stop me from jumping high. To make my knees last as long as possible I try to aim for as soft landings as possible. I pretty much always make a...

Re: Liquid Force MaxFlow Valve Pop?

Did you pull up the flap before inflating?
Sometimes it takes more effort to pull it back up.
If it's stuck inside the valve it could lose air through te cap with a hard impact.
When you unscrewed the cap with the rescue did it lose air straight away?

Re: What board in strapless jungle vid?

The skimboard I’m using is a custom skimboard made by a friend of mine. The board is made out of carbon and kevlar with a high density foam core. Pretty much indestructible! If you want some more info send me a message on my Facebook page. Steven Akkersdijk. http://www.kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?t...

Re: Naish octopussy

It's not bullshit, it's a matter of opinion.
You guys like it, i don't.
Sure i see hoses melting but not with the brand i have.
I never have to change anything.
I'm sure the octopussy system is great until things start to delaminate and break, that's all.
