I got to demo the RippEHr in Cabarete back in February too. The bar pressure was really light, and the range was really impressive. My other kite came with a normal pump, though. Not sure if it was alloy or plastic though.

When it gets choppy you will bounce and the powerlock gets activated regardless if you are a pro or kook. I've never had a problem of it mis-activating in chop at all.
