Re: Skydiving instructor/ snowboarder/ wakeboarder Boulder City NV at Lake Mead

Yeah, Mohave. This time of the year basically everyday is perfect down there. Avoid weekends if possible. 6 Mile beach. Head east from Searchlight. There are few kiters that live in BC, too. PM me for contact info for a good instructor that has a boat and can give lessons. You can also just go down ...

Impressive. Rob Douglas and Morgan Douglas and Jamie Douglas... all in the top 6.
Are those guys brothers nephews kids?
Or just groupies that changed their last name?
Brothers. Rob is oldest, then Jamie, Morgan. I spent a few years with them in my teens/twenty's. Great guys.

Re: La ventana, Baja California

End of Oct is probably not ideal. I was there last year in Dec and wind was spotty all week. Usually Jan/Feb is better (though I'm sure others will be more specific). Renting a car is probably best bet, unless you can arrange to ride with someone else going. No public trans up there. It's a pretty f...

Or come up to Vegas and kite on Mohave in warm fresh water with great wind! 10 or 12m and no wetsuit.

Re: Switch Helium 18m-Light Wind Kite

Here a quick video from our first day out on this kite (a rare light-air day). Have to echo what prev posts have said: amazing and fun kite!

Please excuse the bad zooms...

Re: Airstyle DVD now available on Vimeo On Demand - watch on

MakeMKV will rip this. Just go in to settings and drop down the 'minimum' time to 10secs or something. That way it will grab all the files. Once you have it as an mkv, handbrake can make one long mp4 vid file of the whole thing and shrink it down to usable file size.

Re: Kitesurfing Las Vegas! (Mohave Windy Months..???)

Can anyone tell me (when the windy season begins) for the Mohave? I'm new to the desert and kite the Cali coast most, but looking forward to finding some new territory while living in Vegas! Thanks, Scott Well, this Friday is looking good for some S! 15mph+. Air temps in mid 70's. Water still a bit...

Re: Los Barriles

Heading down to Ventana next week. Anyone down there can give some guidance on the wind forecast? Windfinder.com is saying basically calm until later in the week.

Should I postpone or will there be wind in afternoons as usually? Thanks!
