I'm no doctor, but I know one thing for sure - when taking antibiotics you should stay out of the sun, which pretty much makes kiting a no go, unless its real cloudy.
Hi Lolo, Munich is great for kiting, just be prepared for very gusty winds. The lakes around Munich get very crowded in summer, so it's probably better to hook up with some locals who can show you the best spots. Other than that the lakes in the mountains are very good for thermal action, e.g. Walch...
Hi, I went to Tarifa in summer for the first time in 1983, and I clearly remember the number of sunbathers/swimmers on the beaches all the way to Canos de Mecca in that year: 0. Windsurfers: maybe a dozen on a crowded day. Actually there was one bloke who did go swimming in Tarifa on a strong levant...
Hi, I've never used a c-kite with a 5th line, but i guess the main advantage of the fifth is being able to flip the kite on its back for easy relaunch. Do that on a bow kite - it will invert immediately (at least mine does). In fact a bow kite will quickly flip on its back by itself if lines aren't ...
Hi, i just returned from a 10-day trip to Tarifa, Spain and had a brand-new switchblade 7 with me which I got to ride a lot. To tell you the truth I now have a hard time understanding the hype surrounding the bow kites. They do have an incredible depower, which makes kiting in gusty conditions a no-...
Roberto, if your're interested in the more remote places, then forget about the mediterranean countries in summer. Ireland is definetly an option you should consider then, Kitedude is absolutely right. Another possibility would be eastern europe, e.g. the baltic states, I believe there are couple of...
well, Tarifa's not that crowded yet in June, at least by european standards, you should go there in July/August - now that's crowded. If you're travelling by RV to save money - great idea, just keep in mind that it's illegal in most european countries to camp on your own, so if you don't want to ris...
Hi, start in southern Spain - Gibraltar, Tarifa, work yourself up to southern France, then on to Italy - Tuscany, Sardegna, then take a ferry to Greece, July and August in the Aegais rocks, and by all means try to go to Rhodes. If you prefer cooler temperatures and less sun there are some pretty hot ...

As already stated in a previous post, air temperature and humidity is an important aspect. I always get going a lot earlier on spring/early summer days than on a hot and humid mid-august day.
