Oh! and another oh; be sceptical of Toby´s review, he makes money from their marketing and isn´t adverse to accepting free trips up there from the developer. It isn´t in his interests to really highlight any negative aspects of the place.

I´ve spoken too many, many people this year on their return to Cumbuco from Praia da Barra and the reviews are, almost with out exception, all the same. It´s gusty It´s not ´that´ flat The tidal thing is a problem The lack of facilities is a problem I cut my fuxing feet open etc. etc. etc. Basi...

Perhaps, and this is just a shot in the dark, but just perhaps, young Mr, Richman won the KPWT and he just happened to ride for Cabrinha. For the really dense amongst you, what I´m eluding too is that riders win comps, not kites. ....It might also be worth pointing out that many on the KPWT tour us...

I'm there from the 5th... going to downwind to Jeri, so i'll be taking out some money from a machine somewhere.. Maybe in Caucaia?? Bit of a longer drive, but at least they have money machines IN banks there... Don´t be lulled into a false sense of security, just because the machine is IN the bank...

A cab will cost you a lot, Reciefe isn´t just around the corner it´s over 800km, it´d be cheaper to fly. Check Gol, TAM, WebJet for tickets. Alternatively hire a car and drive, it´ll take the same time as a taxi (I´m guessing around 10 - 12 hours) and will cost you a lot less. Me, I´d fly! :bye:

Not to get technical about this, but the word "barra" in Portuguese (for sand bar) is actually feminine and really is "Praia da Barra", mostly known by the locals as Praia de Itarema .
