Thanks again for all the great responses. I'm heading to the Gorge tomorrow so I called around to some shops and what is currently available may limit my choices as most of the suggested boards are either sold out or not readily available locally. I'm going to try out a Nobile 666 135x44 tomorrow so...

Thanks for the suggestions so far. Sounds like any wider flat board should work better for me. As for technique, when I say work hard, I just kinda mean what Tautologies was refering to....I have to go slow. I like to ride fast and I just think that my current board is too slow for me. I tried a Mis...

All around board for heavy riders

There's plenty of information on this forum regarding lightwind boards for big guys (Spleene, Nobile, etc) but I am trying to find a good everyday board for moderate to higher winds (18mph+) for a bigger rider (100kg). I currently ride a Caution Redline 142 and find that even in the 20mph range, I r...

Just to clarify with those of you adding an extra knot on your back line leaders, I am assuming that you are doing this after you have set up all lines being equal length when in the micro hook at full power on the cleat? Essentially, back lines total 8cm shorter than front/fifth line(s)? Thanks.

North Rebel Relaunch?

Can someone please outline the best method for relaunching the Rebel. Seems like some on this forum have expressed difficulties with relaunch once the kite is on its back. Just wondering what works best before my Rebels show up.

2006 5th Element ??? for Rebel

Just wondering if the bars currently being shipped with Rebels are having problems with the cleats like the early 2006 bars? If so, is there an easy fix?

I want my Rebels now but need at least one bar before the 2007 bars are available.

Thanks

Panchito,

Is the 15m Instinct fast for it's size? If so, I'll add them to the list.

40+ on an 11? :P

Link/Rebel Kite Quiver

I'm looking for a 2 kite quiver of either Rebels or Links. I'm 220lbs and am coming from a 16-12-9 C-kite quiver (2003 4-liner's) that covered all the range I was interested in kiting (13k-30+). I have tried some 16m bow/flat kites and basically do not like them but like the 12 and 9's. So I'm think...
