Hi again. Actually I couldn't find radios on that site, and from the sounds of your comments, that type of radio might not be what I'm looking for / asking about. Since I generally don't have a spouse/friend, etc. waiting for me on shore, my vision was having a small radio that could communicate wit...

Another downside of 2-liners: they're addicting! You might develop a perverse pride in being the only two-liner on the water. (Damn - my ol' 2001 CO2 water-relaunches like a charm every time!)

Thoughts re 2-way VHS Marine radios in kiter's...

Anyone have any experience kiting/windsurfing with a handheld 2-way Marine radio tucked away in their wetsuit? Are these radios durable enough for being in a plastic baggie for month after month? Any particular brands to consider / stay way from? (I read the earlier postings that discussed pencil fl...

Hi, First – a warning. Expenses add up! Here’s how I got into kiting: 1. I started with a training kite. ($120) 2. I paid for one 3-hr lesson (should have paid for more!) ($170) 3. I bought a used "floaty" twin-tip board, with straps. ($520) 4. I bought a used kite. ($600) 5. I bought ...

Here in the USA there are "party shops" with balloons, and other such stuff. I picked up a few handpumps for $4.00 USD at one of the chains...

hey guest, how about putting a name on your thoughts? too scared to get into a debate with someone like bill who obiously has you out done? Hi kt, Thanks for the support, but I'm trying to make peace with Zardoz! Some day a line of mine might break a mile out, and I don't want to have to lie about ...

I just did a quick search in Google.com for "anti-war television ads", and here are two articles that popped up. Neither is the one that I was referencing, but both support my position that promoting opinions that are different than Washington DC's has not been as easy as folks might think. Zardoz i...

"Right now you're sounding somewhat... uneducated." "but perhaps our friend Zardoz should try reading one, so that he can contribute more than insults to this dialog..." Were those insults? Yep... They sure were! And I remain annoyed by your insults directed at me for what I said in my posting. Aft...

"He either made it up or doesn't have a clue..." Uhhh... No Zardoz, and, by the way, your own points might sound a bit more valid if you backed off the insults. Right now you're sounding somewhat... uneducated. For the sake of any others following this thread, I'll try to find the source of my comm...
