Try strapless. It may help you learn to absorb the chop better, but I've found that in onshore conditions with a mixed up chop my knees bother me as well. I ride strapless on a 6'3 Channel Islands. I don't think pads will make any difference. Also, standard polyurethane boards may absorb the chop be...

Hello, Just wanted to say that many pics on this post are WAY TOO BIG! Try to keep pictures sizes at 800 pixels wide maximum. For anybody using a Mac with Safari, the oversized pics stretch everything out, making it really hard to view the photos. My vote for best looking kite is the Fuel 07, especi...

Had one of the best downwinders of my life today, did about 6 miles in Stuart with 3 of my buddies. For Florida conditions were epic, 6-8 ft surf, and 25-30 knots of wind out of the North. Lit on a 7m C kite. I snapped a few pics of my friend as he was completing a downwinder. Pics don't really do i...

mojorisin, Not sure where you're getting the Koi reference. I looked up Koi, and it looks like an overgrown goldfish, nothing like the Best fish. The Best fish to me alway seemed more like of a flying fish as some others have said. I actually think it's a pretty cool logo, there aren't too many othe...

I've had a 12 Vegas for over a month now, used it many times, and no problems.

I really hope this isn't going to be a problem down the road as they look like they would be a pain in the ass to fix.

Thanks for posting the link. Folding it more like a triangle may be better, but the tips on the new Vegas are swept like a bow kite, not square so you'd still be folding the LE but maybe a bit further down where it's thinner as opposed to folding the entire tip over. Dwight is this how you're doing ...

Self Launching North Vegas '07?

I just got a Vegas '07 12M and was wondering which is the best way to self launch. On the 12, the leading edge is really thick at the tip, so folding it over like a traditional C kite launch doesn't seem to be a good idea. I tried placing sand on the inside of the tip without folding, but it was too...

I just got a Rebel 12 recently. I've only had a few sessions with it so far. I would also like to know from the North gurus on here how the Rebel and the Vegas 7 compare. The Rebel 12 has a little more bar pressure than I'm used to, so I'm wondering if the Vegas would feel similar on the bar. I have...

Zgur, Were you using your 14 in the high 20's? I was out for my first real ride today on my new 12 in a good solid 20 maybe gusting to 25. I weigh about 160 lbs, had the strap pulled about 3/4 of the way down. For me the kite was not comfortable in this range. I figured this would be pushing the hig...
