Re: Skis for all-round riding

If you don't have a strict budget I would take a look at Icelantic skis. They're handmade in Colorado I think so not cheap. I have had a pair of Icelantic Nomad 105 skis from new and they are far and away the best skis I have ever used. Construction is bombproof, mine are probably 10 years old now ...

Re: Beginner kites with the best safety systems?

Are you sure almost all changed to single frontline QR? The ones that do not do this still have pretty decent safeties these days. I'd do some internet research on the major brands, you can look at their control systems on their websites and see which have the SLFO system. I can definitively say th...

Re: Skis for all-round riding

I have only snow kited a few times but I am an avid skier. If you are on soft snow chatter will not be an issue unless you buy something with an extreme rocker and no metal. I personally hate skies with no metal, they just have no feel IMO. 95/100 MM range? Nordica Enforcer is the hottest ski on th...

Re: Skis for all-round riding

So last season I tried snow kiting. It was super fun and I am considering getting some skis now. I do want something I can use for multiple things: Snow kiting, regular skiing, powder, top walks. So my thought is getting some reasonably wide thinking 95-100mm touring skiis. I'm not looking to immed...

Re: UK kitesurfer rescued after lines wrap legs

This is a better link. Shows the the harness holster. I would also recommend getting the brighter colors and not black. https://www.amazon.com/EEZYCUT-Trilobite-Webbing-Line-Knife/dp/B00R8PO3CQ/ref=pd_cp_468_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00R8PO3CQ&pd_rd_r=Y1E7KJ623ATYSQ376GAX&pd_rd_w=WAxsn&pd_rd_wg=N15n...

Re: Forearm Burn - What to do about it

Open palm mitts work great in moderate cold conditions, I love them. If the water is frigid and time in the water could happen, then you will need a closed mitt to protect your hands from freezing. Also try not to grip the bar so tight and rest one hand at a time when you can. This was a huge proble...
