Re: Best gloves for kiting

- Mesh helps for windchill but the durability is shorter. - Thickness helps, but to much gives cramp. - Gloves with bended fingers helps an lot for cramps in de underarms I always go for a mesh glove or mitten where the fingers are bend. The NPX mitten is the most warm glove I've had. http://cdn1.b...

Re: Feedback on Cabrinha's 2018 TrimLite bars

Hi! I'm changing my '16 drifter for a '18 drifter soon as it's quite abused, and was wondering if I should get a '16 bar or '18 bar for it. I normally change my bar every year for peace of mind (and so I have a bar to sell with an older kite), but on 2017 I just bought the 2016 again (TrimLite, fix...

Re: How To Self-Land a Kite in High Winds

it's all relative, If you are on a 12m and the wind cranks up to 30mph plus you can be in a white knuckle situation.

Re: 2018 EVO

I will be trying out the new Evo this weekend and will report to this thread. I had a quiver of 2014 Evos for a few years and absolutely loved them. Then, switched over to the 2016 Evo and did not like it at all. I sold them and went to Best. Recently though I decided to go back to North and purcha...

Re: How To Self-Land a Kite in High Winds

I would suggest that instead of just releasing, you fly the kite to the window, steer it down (possibly grabing both front lines for an impulse), then pull the upwind frontline to properly touch the kite down. Then proceed as you described Grabbing and pulling in lines in high winds can get sketchy...

2018 EVO

Any new opinions on the 2018 EVO. I am thinking of upgrading my 2016 quiver. I picked up a Nitro 6 thinking I would upgrade to Nitros, but after several session on it I think I like my EVOs better. The Nitro is a very nice kite and works as advertised, very similar to a SB in my opinion. The Nitro a...

You can also set up rear lines on the last knot.

Re: Cabrinha Radar vs Slingshot Rally

I have flown most kites and now ride EVOs and Nitros. The only kites I can remember that had noticeably less bar pressure were the xr4 and 12m flite.

Re: Broken Iron Heart (North)

Why would you do anything other than buy a replacement iron heart? they are the best quick releases on the planet and a brand new north control bar is $800 or so brand new. Spend the $50 to $100 whatever it costs and get the replacement part (or fab the replacement part if you are into that sort of...
