Re: April Kiteboarding Lessons FL Keys or Carib?

Go to Florida Keys and kite with the Otherside. Pros: -Great no wind activities including a cable park! -Warm -Shallow/flat -Great instructors -Cheap to get there and much cheaper food/booze than caribbean -Can daytrip drive to Miami or key west for exploration or crazy nightlife Cons: -Turks has b...

Cool looking tool for sure, would be nice to add too my SWAT harness

But for quick access and ease of use I will never be without my EEZYCUT.
How do you find the EEZYCUT, cuts through lines without any issue?

Re: Knife - what to you think?

How do you find the EEZYCUT, cuts through lines without any issue? It cuts through anything. I have tested it on cord similar to the depower line, and it cuts that too. Very easily. Only issue is finding a good pouch for it. No real luck there yet. Wish it slipped into the little knife pocket on my...

Re: North Rebel sizing for heavy rider

SB are very powerful kites and great for heavy weights IMO. They also jump as good as Rebels so don't believe all the hype, I have owned both and like SBs better.

Re: Piq, Xensr or Woo?

I have personal experience with Woo and the Xsenr Sessions app on Apple Watch. While the Woo software is more polished and the social following is larger, for my money the Apple Watch wins hands down. The watch just does so much more beyond measuring jumps, and it has GPS tracking. Woo literally ju...

Mystic Vulcanic Drysuit

So I always wanted to give a neoprene drysuit(mystic volcanic) a try so I picked one up this fall and love it. I have used it about 15 times this winter and it is insanely warm, easy to get in and out of, and doesn't feel heavy at all. I went with the Mystic because of the front zipper. I still love...

Re: light wind surfboard vs foil board

Larger volume will plane sooner without question because it has more float , but low volume is more manageable once planning. Again, this is the misconception that almost all windsurfers carry over to kiteboarding. But even in windsurfing, volume over anything that floats with just a bit of freeboa...

Re: light wind surfboard vs foil board

I think it all plays a role, volume, planning surface and rocker. My last windsurfing board was Only 115 volume which is mid volume, most light wind boards have much more volume around 150ltr. My 115ltr was super wide ,which gave it lots of planning surface and it would get up on plane almost as fas...

Re: What to inspect when buying a used kite?

Ebay can work well. Just make sure the seller has a solid history close to 100%. Don't buy from anyone with less than 10 or so reviews , the more the better. If buying direct from seller, I agree to make sure you have some phone conversations with seller, it is more risky but I have bought this way ...
