I gotta say, there's probably something to this. When I've kited in Maui, most kiters I dealt with were great, but a sizable minority were jerks. A much much larger fraction then I've ever experienced anywhere else...

Re: Good change from F One

is there a big difference between the volt & the bandit??? Yes. Volt is intended for kiteschools and beginners. it is a lot slower :baby: Just saw this... I've never compared the two kites in the same sizes. I've got a 12m Bandit 5, and 9m and 7m Volt 2's. From my experience, I'd say that their cha...

Re: Good change from F One

did anybody really see this mythical "other" kite in the real world? fone deliberately cornered itself in the narrow niche by manufacturing only one kite that suppose to do all and fit all. for me - waste of money. less and less seen on beaches near me That would be the F-One Trust. I've seen (and ...

During a time when Americans are working harder and longer for less money, others question the spot's perceived workaholic messag...

Re: Regulations?

NO Kite Boarding within 100 feet of the marked channel of the Florida Intracoastal Waterway . ... Bille Hmmm, try reading it again. The part relating to the Intracoastal Waterway only applies to parasailing and tethered ballooning. It seems that the only restriction on kiting is the next paragraph,...

Re: US terms - costs for bags, can someone explain?

sorry yes it is "dimensional inches" you add width+height+thickness. So a skateboard would work but no way would a twintip work, 130 + 42 + 3 = 175 dimensional inches for a typical twintip even with a skin tight nylon bag. So it's $150 unless you stick it in a golf bag or use a split board. That wo...

Re: Maui, Kanaha a shark attacked a unmanned kiteboard

You're much more likely to get mangled in a traffic accident, but you don't stay up nights fantasizing about that, or adding to an overly-long kiteforum thread about it. Why? Because you've accepted the risk of driving. So likewise, accept the risk of going in the water. Ding, ding, dig! Give that ...

Thank you, thank you, thank you. And to Ronnie as well.

I actually tried both Shazam and Soundhound, and neither could figure it out. Must have bad acoustics in this room.
