Eclipse is dead for sure. Epic doesn't look all that healthy but maybe that is just because I haven't seen their kites very often. Naish? Used to be a dominate brand in the areas I ride in several parts of the county, went from 40% to about 5% of the kites I see. Windwing!!! - kites on the website o...
The Fuse has a much better safety than the EVO. I have both and the extra pulleys in the Fuse bridal allow it to flop over and land leading edge down easily. The Evo stays somewhat powered up and is harder to self land. Niether is as good as a 5th Line, but I have dropped the Fuse exactly where I wa...
Another reason to not wear a leash hasn't been mentioned. Surfboards drift downwind very quickly and are much easier to body drag to than your twintip. The board will usually end up right side up and is easy to track down. If you aren't confident in you body dragging skills, something to work on whe...

The Laguna Madre is about 75-80 depending on depth and location. The Gulf is about 73-75. and the gulf has been warming up a little each week. Much better than the 34 degree water back in my usual home location of Northern Lake Michigan.
I find the lines break very quickly when using trainer kites anything more than just flight training. if you want to use a trainer to pull you around expect to replace the lines quickly. I would have to recommend the ozones and the HQ Rush Pro which both come with beefy lines standard.
