Re: First foil - Slingshot hoverglide ?

I'm getting ready to buy my first foil setup and looking at this setup. I've been lucky enough to bum rides off friends and am getting some long runs up on the foil. Will get the flight school masts as I'll be primarily riding in Hatteras. What do people think about adding the H4 wing to the NF2 set...

Re: wings for using smallest kite possible

What about the Slingshot H4 Wing : http://www.slingshotsports.com/H4-Front-Foil-Wing
I'm just starting out getting some runs and got to ride this as well as the stock Slingshot setup. The H4 goes super early.

Re: Evo vs Vader?

Well I now have a shiny new Vader 5'3". Got to demo the board Sat/Sun in OBX in 10m winds. The guys at Real suggested the 5'3" for me and most conditions there (where I ride mostly). I knew in the first 2 minutes that this was the board for me. It felt like the perfect size, I had no complaints. I a...

Re: Evo vs Vader?

Yes, just kiting. Should be able to demo one next weekend as long as the wind cooperates.
Thanks

Re: Evo vs Vader?

I've got a John-O 5'2" x 18 which should be pretty comparable to the Evo. It's a great board, never bogs down but doesn't carve around like my other (traditional shape). It seems like I need to push on the back foot a lot harder vs just lean and apply heel or toe pressure. I think it's the big ass t...

Re: Cabarete - Anyone Stayed At....

I've stayed at both, once at UV and 4 times at the Millennium. Most times with the family (and another family). Both are great places to stay. My thoughts on UV - Better launch with more room - Cabarete Coffee next door - Quieter and the Millennium - All the restaurants are closer - Always someone t...

Re: Private lesson in North Carolina

Go to the the Outer Banks, no question. I live in Raleigh and kite primarily in OBX. The only traffic you have to worry about is getting in/out of Raleigh and that is minimal. There are some places slightly closer but OBX winds generally are better and for a beginner the location is the best. Lots o...

Re: Airush Wave v Wave SST v Rally

I've got the Waves and like them a ton. Drift/float really well. Very responsive, quick turning, even when sheeted out. Well built but not over done. Still jump well enough for me, good all-around kite. Long bridles but never been an issue except once in a while when launching, just need to make sur...
