Re: Cabo Verde lodging info needed

Hey Joel:

I'll be your driver if you and Jeff pay for my ticket.

Jeff will verify that I can definitely drive on sidewalks.

ed257:

Yep, married a woman who is 17 years younger than me. I have to run fast to keep up!

I think it's an attitude; not I can, but I will.

Re: Hey old buggars

I'm 74 and not only riding, but am still an active instructor (IKO Level 2 Senior). I'm, wondering if I am the oldest kiteboard instructor?

Re: How do you dry your kites?

Don't need to dry it if its coming out of salt water. We put our school kites away wet with salt water all the time.

However, coming out of fresh water, you should dry it, or it can mildew.

I'm 73 and I'm an instructor. Taught 35 lessons in 25 days in April. Figure I've got about 17 more years left - maybe more!

Re: Kiteboarding on small Lakes in the United States?

I kite (infrequently) on the Illinois River in Peoria, Illinois. Don't know how many acres, but it is about 1/2 mile wide and I stay in an area (upwind/downwind) of about 1/4 mile. My launch site is off a campground next to a marina. As far as I know, I am the only kiteboarder in Peoria so it never ...

Re: Radio Helmets...anyone using them, besides instructors?

Tom: If you look at the ad, there is also a transmitter that we use. The transmitter does not like salt water, or maybe salt water doesn't like the transmitter. Either way, if you dunk the transmitter, it dies (unfortunately, I've done this - ONCE). That's why we put them in water resisitant bags - ...

Re: Site Slowing Down?

Agree with sfpete. Still slow, and I also find when I try to go back, it opens to a grey blank page.
