Re: Discrete lines on Cabrinha Contra

Re: Water trapped in mast

Try to figure out which of the plastic plugs is leaking. Remove that plug. Drain and try to reinstall the plug.

If you fail, spray foam the cavity. When using spray foam you’ll need to remove the plug from both ends, so the foam can fill and expand both directions.

Re: Surf Foils for Kiteboarding?

Great thread guys - I am currently riding the Shinn mega k all the time - I have 4 foils and have most fun carving this one around on small waves. Does anyone have an opinion on the naish large? It would be great to be able to compare the lifts of all these foils available -I guess even dimensions ...

Re: Surf Foils for Kiteboarding?

I have a takuma v100 and a LF happy foil. I hate the surf foil for kiting, slow and doesn't "take off" or build apparent wind at all...it's torturous. Great for actual surfing though. I’ve heard from others, the Takuma original surf foil was the slowest foil on the market. I’m not familiar with Tak...

Re: Surf Foils for Kiteboarding?

My motives for staying with 68cm mast on my surf foil, is it keeps my skills at a high level for when conditions are good for surf foiling, not kite surf foiling.

Re: Surf Foils for Kiteboarding?

Peter,

Do you have a shorter mast to go with those surf wings? I know some pro guys who won’t ride tall masts with surf foils. Surf foils react quicker on shorter.

I use a 68cm mast on mine. It can be tricky when the wave size is bigger though 😃

Re: Teaching wife hydrofoil.

My wife kites a surf foil. Easy and safe in her opinion. She is 63

She has no interest in scary looking kite foils.

Re: Deal on Airush ultra vs. Naish Boxer

I had two friends with Airush say it doesn’t jump. I own Boxer. It jumps fine. So, I’d say go for the better sale price.

Re: Surf Foils for Kiteboarding?

The only friend I have seen have trouble getting range from a surf foil, was a footstrap cripple. He could not put his feet where they needed to be. And there was no convincing him to ditch the straps.
