Re: What’s the best board you have ever tried?

Mako, by far the best twin tip for me. It's perfect for the times when we have no waves or it's really sketchy kiting conditions, we often have days when strapless riding is more testing than fun! Vanguard when the waves are good. I have a 5'6". Kite construction. Paddle surf it as well... Evo when ...

Re: biggest regret purchase

Shinn Speedball. What a piece of crap that was! I own LOTS of boards and that one just sucked at everything! Bought it at full retail and ended up giving it away two seasons later... :o

Agreed! Best boards on the planet for me at this point in time.

Can't wait to get an Evo in kite construction.

Mako 140. What year model is this?

Can anyone tell me which year model this Mako 140 is please?

I'm really keen to get the tucked rail which was introduced a few years ago but I don't know if this board (pictured) is the generation with a tucked rail or not.

Thanks Team!

Re: Why do we need a spreader bar?

Good feedback guys, thanks!

So, do you think you could DIY an ENGINE style harness? I like the concept of those harnesses... the logistics of actually getting my hands on one here in New Zealand though...

@ RORKE. I have a 8M 2011 Rally and feel the same way you do.

Why do we need a spreader bar?

So, I've been riding without a spreader bar for awhile now. Just replaced it with a piece of rope and have a quick release shackle on that. Much improved range of motion, esp. for me riding waves backhand the vast majority of the time. Watched a few of the BWS and TDZ videos and saw those guys runni...

Re: surfboard, new shape

Of course I kite with a Nugget but they`re pretty much all I ride surfing these days so I`m very biased.... So, for me, they`re really good to kite with except for one thing, that big round rail can get a bit bouncy at speed in chop. It holds really well and gives great response/feedback but I think...

Re: surfboard, new shape

I think your friend may have just discovered the Nugget! Geoff Mccoy is credited with the planshape of the modern Thruster, he then went on to develop the Nugget and the rest of the world is slowly catching up with him again. Here`s a link to the lame arsed Surftech copies.... http://www.hawaiiansou...

Re: another FS pulse2 review

.
.
Is the Pulse 2 the first foil you have flown?
Sounds like it must be a VERY good kite considering your previous kites.

I want one! or maybe two....

BTW.
Your writing skills are far superior to a lot of native English speakers :o Great review!
