Cozumel kiteing

I have been kiting in Cozumel for the last year. It is true what they say about Adrian. He is the greatest and got me hooked on the sport. I teach Scuba in the morning and kite in the afternoons. Dec-april is the best time to be here. Expect winds from 10-30 knts 25 days of the month. We fly almost ...

Slingshot spreader bar defect

I bought a slingshot surefire spreader bar about 2 months ago. It has been on the water about 15 times and yesterday it broke. It was very windy (25-30 knts) and I was on my Best 9m kite. The failure point was one I had heard of before. There is a small pin which acts as a hinge point on the chicken...

Naish X4 problem

Just got slightly used X4 14m. Very happy with the quality and perfomance except for one thing. It turns great to the right but horrible to the left. line length is not the issue. Struts are all the same and there is no obvious deformation of the kite when inflated or when flying. Anyone else have a...

Wipika Amp question

I am fairly new to the sport and bought a wipika amp 16 used from a guy who was traveling. The kite is in good shape but I find that it steers like a pig. I have 2 best Yargas (9 and 11) and love them for thier power and range and stability. It seems like the Wipika flexes and jellyfishes all the ti...

just a little something

I like the line about just buy the guy a beer. It is easy and if we all sent enough for one beer it would be huge. Plus the raffel prizes are nice. $5 is like good gambling. I don't know him but it seems a good deed for the day!! :thumb:

Cozumel

Best location for teaching is Country Club. North of down town about 10 minutes past Hotel Melia. Good training beach and where you will find most of the action depending on wind direction. There are lots of places to snorkel but this is not one of them. If the wind is from the East then wave ranch ...

Best experience

I am new to kite boarding and got a yarga 9 and 11 as my first set of gear complete with bars. I have been trashing the kites for 3 months now and have had no :P issues with the kites. I did have a problem with the saftey leash on both bars. As a new kiter when crashing the kites and attempting rela...
