Re: 2007 GK 15 Trix

I weigh 83kg and I set up so that my kite feels best at mid chickenloop. If I sheet out all the way, putting more slack in the backlines it will fall out of the sky.Pull all the way in and I am oversheeted. So lengthening the backlines is not correct.I cannot let go of the bar for more than several se...

Re: GK Vsonic2008

(Picture of kite in tree) Check this out. Result of failed launch and failure to find and pull the CL  :angryfire: :D If I spent a little time with Photoshop I too could put a kite anywhere; in a car, wrapped around a plane or even coming out of someone's backside! The kite in the tree is a p...

Re: Advice on Car for kite gear and SUP

I'll back Toyota as a choice as well. They just seem to be built better and last longer with minimal maintenance compared to other vehicles. I use a Toyota Hilux Twincab with a plastic lined, enclosed tray and a massive gear box on the roofracks which has a whole heap of windsurf gear in it. (I sell...

Re: GK Vsonic2008

OK, in Australia we have had the opportunity to try the VSonics for a while now and there is certainly no falling down issue at all. Myself and my customers have compared the VSonic to the 07 and 06 Sonics and it is even more stable, has a wider wind range, turns better and is very strongly constru...

Re: GK Vsonic2008

Another problem with the GK. with the quick release. Had problem at self launching. Line tangled. Try to get to quick release. But the quick release leach is located at the reverse side and thus you do not have sight of it and it is so small that it seems iimpossible to grap and pulled it at split ...

Re: GK Vsonic2008

This is not a GK VSonic problem. Any high aspect ratio kite which flies right to the edge of the window will, if flown right above you and is subject to a lull in the wind, fall down virtually on top of you. A friend of mine with a North Rebel 08 is able to do this and the balance of the kite is suc...

I think if everyone made kites that flew as predictably as GK kites, that depowered as much as GK kites and were as reliable as GK kites, the world would be a better place. Nowhere else have i been able to find a kite that i can comfortably fly from 12-33 knots, hence why i bought the 07 sonic 11m ...

If it was necessary or a desireable thing to have heel straps, don't you think the top guys would be using them? Just because you haven't hurt yourself yet, that doesn't mean it won't happen. Wise up and ditch them unless you want 6 months off the water. Fortunately us non-top guys are able to thin...

Re: Rebel or Vegas

Now I am riding Vegas06 in sizes 9 & 14 with JaimePro M. I am considering to change my gear with Rebel 9 &12 or Vegas07 9 & 12 maybe 14. New boards from North also looking awesome! I am considering to get a Crossride M. My weight is approx. 67kg. Any suggestions? I've have the 07 Crossride after ha...
