Re: HBsurfkite Legacy 3D Hook

Sorry, my english is maybe not good enough  I was replying to 'not on board' that was wondering about strongness : there is dyneema rope inside plastic tube between the hook and the spreader bar. HB is explaining that here : (@ 5"00') https://vimeo.com/264744240#t=5m00s (english subtitles avai...

Re: HBsurfkite Legacy 3D Hook

I believe it is a ball and socket type of connection so that the hook can rotate. Just hope those screws are strong enough in the front that hold it together. Hi, in fact, there is a rope between the hook and the bar. All that you can see with plastic is just for esthetism and hold the hook horizon...

Re: Any Takoon Icon 2017 reviews?

Re: Gruissan/Leucate end of march

Yes, there are some kites on their way to tunisia, not all kite has been saved ;-) I personnaly have to release my kite on this spot (death loop after failed trick), it has disappeared on the horizon but I found a fisherman (it was summer, more chance to found a boat on the coast). I don't know how ...

Re: Gruissan/Leucate end of march

Hi Bernie, I can imagine that you get amazing flat water conditions, but do you not have lots of problems due to the conditions? Some rules to follow : do not ride alone and release your kite if situation go wrong (deathloop, broken line,...).Do not obstinate to self rescue because wind push you ver...

Re: Gruissan/Leucate end of march

Thanks for all the info. Honestly, doesn't sound that great for kiting, but you take what you got. I agree with you but I can tell you that if you can ride on Tramontana on these spots, you can ride easily anywhere over the world  Tramotana is gusty but blows almost everyday , check this profi...

Re: Gruissan/Leucate end of march

Hi, I'm riding in gruissan and some spots around. You can choose between very different spots in a small area : - Vieille Nouvelle, great landscape, no man's land except kitesurfers. Quite difficult to go there (road can be flooded , you have to use dirt roads and drive on the beach for 4 kms...). O...

Re: Chicken Loop Bye Bye?

Looks super clean. [...] Having that smaller opening on the ring makes it much harder/ impossible for the ring to rotate around and get levered against the body of the carabiner body and gate at the same time unclipping itself. Thanks :-) You are rigth about rings, I have switched them. Any issues ...

Re: Chicken Loop Bye Bye?

Hi RZBO, I used a wichard like yours some years back. Problem I had with it was that it could get easily knocked and released accidentally. The travel is so short. Hi TomW, I agree with you, maybe replacing the halyard by a bungee (with correct elasticity) might avoid accidental release? With this ...
