Re: Airush Ultra: one strut kite that meets expectations of a ram air lover

SURF and TT Review: 2018 9m ultra. 17-21 knots side-onshore wind, 2-3 foot waves, 80kg rider, 20m lines, jimmy lewis surfboard and then a crazyfly carbon TT. Very powerful for it's size, I was on the 9m and everyone else on 12ms (riding TT). Again it's a super fast kite and flies very close to edge...

Re: Split board Nobile vs Spleene

I didn't know Spleene did a split board? When I was researching, I heard the Nobile Carbon wasn't worth it, but I didn't try it, so can't say first hand. I ended up with a Concept X Ruler, review here; http://www.kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2398218 Got it from here; https://www.you-love-it.eu...

Re: Element 6 what size?

Wow, Not sure what version your referring to in the Nitro, for me the Nitro 6 is anything but slow & doggy in any wind, even the Nitro 5 was not slow & doggy. I had N4 & N5. Never tried the 6. Just to be clear, any fair and honest comparison between 2 kites when discussing new kites should be based ...

Re: Element 6 what size?

The 12 E6 will fly a lot more lively than your N12 did. My experience with Nitros was that unless they were really in the top 1/3rd of their wind range they were slow & doggy. Wow, Not sure what version your referring to in the Nitro, for me the Nitro 6 is anything but slow & doggy in any wind,even...

Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

Thanks Bill for clearing up the "magic" I experience with the Nitro6. The kite feels completely different from the 5 while still feeling like the Nitro, just smoother and more refined in every way. Lighter on the hook, lighter on the bar, responsive, jumps and hang tine very similar to the 5. It was...

Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

...I was happy with the performance of the Nitro 5. Then the Nitro 6 came along so I got the Nitro 6 and wow that kite for me is magic, its lighter in the air (Like the Edge) although not quite as light... Your message demonstrates how much perception is in the eye of beholder. Neither the kite lay...

Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

Does Switch make a high AR LEI, like the Edge ; if so , then i might be up for getting a new kite. I plan to go back in the water by late Winter ; it's when it starts to get good here, and i wanna be ready with new kite/new lines & bar. A 3 year break ; and i deserve it, (is my rational) . Bi...

Twin Tip Foam & Glass Recommendations

I'm looking for some input on a new twin tip I have been riding a Foam and Fiberglass board for the last 10 years and its starting to show signs of it age. The problem I'm having is it still rides better than most of the pressed boards currently available, I'm assuming its due the almost every new b...

Re: Best Way to Fly with Gear in 2017

Do you have the Revolt 136 or 140?
Got the 136 I'm 170 lbs perfect size for me, I wouldn't want it any bigger.
I did not get the bag from Kitelement, the Nobile bag is all you need. I have the board wrapped in a towel the sides of the Nobile bag also has some protection
