Re: Something new from Ozone

Maybe a pressureless depower system like Flysurfer had on their warrior kites would be possible? In that system, the pulleys at the kite were balanced by pullies at the bar. Therefore the bar was always in balance. You had to push to depower and pull to power up, but you could let go of the bar and ...

Re: Best kite for touring/ascending?

@geopeck - Is the Summit a closed cell foil? Could you use it on the water? @crabnebula - The Icon looks interesting. Never heard of it before? Is it a B-line safety system? Never understood why nobody ever made one. Anybody who paraglides would be familiar with the benefits of pulling the B-risers ...

Re: Something new from Ozone

When do we get a water relaunchable Summit Ultralight??? After riding both foils + tubes and as an average joe rider, I really miss my foils from a practical point of view, but have never had a foil (besides my frenzy) which flew the way I like. Low aspect ratio, C-shape + clean + thin airfoil. I th...

Re: RPM vs C4

I haven't tried RPM. I used to love the C4 when it first came out, but I think my new kites will be Catalysts. Haven't tried them yet though. 3 struts, light weight simple pump and no pulleys is very interesting to me. Previous catalysts (pre 2013) with the flat design were not so interesting to me ...

Re: Finally, a good explanation of a bridal system- Fone 201

Not really much of an explanation there. For those who have flown foils for a long time, it is well known that the bridle is the key to the kite/paraglider. Talking to very experienced paraglider designers, they say that a pulley is a way to fix problems. If the bridle doesn't work properly, you can...

Re: Looking for bombproof ultrastable slow 8m behaving like

Try a 7,5 bandit 1 from f-one. I really liked the original bandit. Lots of people didn't like it because they felt that there was a delay on the steering, but in my opinion it was more like a filter. Small motions on the bar were filtered out, but the kite still reacted fast when you really gave it ...

Re: How to choose a surfboard for kiting?

Interesting topic. I agree with the comments that you should get a lot of boards and try them all in different conditions, so that you really learn how to use them. However, in my situation and in many others, I don't get enough sessions on the water to do all that. Therefore, getting good advice fr...

Re: The 3 Strap Option

Combining the comfort of a 3 strap setup with the weight distribution of a two strap setup is the rotating footstrap setup.

Re: C-kite vs SLE power?

My personal theory after 10 years kiting and trying many different kites is that when flying a kite straight, there will be more power on the flat kite than on the c-kite with the same projected area. However, when do you ever fly a kite in a straight line for a prolonged period of time? The kite is...

Looking for a partner to help promote rotating foot strap

We are looking for a serious partner to help promote the rotating foot strap product. The product has had good success and over 400 units have been sold already, with many customers returning to buy extra sets for their other boards. However, in order to push the product to the next level and get it...
