Dont wanna get into this again - the stories, the fears and the i know a friends thing (chinese whispers) :D ive used one alot from the start for me 5 years ago - never once a single problem...on lakes still use the roll-leash when the wind is up and down but i tend to go out now with more power in ...

Forgot to say - ive had the best support from Gaastra - always answering my questions straight away, parts always available - very friendly
its was a different story from the support at Slinghot - also a good kite but i had not support and no spare parts were available!

Switchblades are proberly very good kites but from experience, gaastra are and i know very good kites. was out yesterday a bit overpowered in winds from 17 to 27 knots with my 13 qm 2016 Pure jumping what felt like to the moon :D - thats my woo measurement - and fully in control most of the time. I ride a Gaastra Pure 2016 in 13 - 10 - 8 and love the kites to bits - the best ive used so far..... tic sea water temperature now approx 6 - 7C ?

Baltic ocean at least where i live near kiel is between 11 and 12 degrees at the moment - not 6 - 7 degrees -

im using my 4.3 wetsuit without a problem !

i dont see the problem with the wrist strap, you dont want to be jumping or doning tricks with just a strap but for normal riding no problem - the padded version would offer less of a risk and allow you to get out easier... I also have a few problems with the tennis elbow crap- it is good to change ...

Dont bother - just use candle wax - i rubbed my depower rope with a candel for 10 mins and it does not seen to wear anymore - its been good for over two years now :D , before the candle wax i got a season out of the depower line! Switch controller 2 bar.....

8 - 10 - 12 is really a perfect combi with a 15 as well is more than perfect..... i ditched my 4 kite set up 7 - 9 -12 - 15 because i was sick of carrying my gear around. two kites will be more than fine .....3 to 5 is really perfect. At 95 kgs a 13 or 14 will be your main kite and a 10qm your secon...
