Re: SELF LANDING

I don't use a leash or anything and find this pretty simple. When I'm ready to land: 1) Depower your kite to the max (shortest fronts, longer rears) 2) Position the kite at about 15-25 degrees at the side of the window. If the area is small where you're landing, remember the kite will drift a bit ba...

Re: Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics

I really don't care why/how/when/etc China was awarded the games... I was simply saying that I use TVTonic to get RSS feeds of extreme sports and they are doing the service for the games using NBColympics.com as a "games on the go" or something like that. I don't do anything. Any time anyone puts a ...

Re: Why do I love my C kite fuel?

Yeah, just sold my two fuels for cheap, $500. Both 07s, and am regretting it. My shoulders and arms are not regretting it though! haha... oh well, can't go back now. They're not going to sell the fuel in the USA anymore. Or maybe that was team rider kites, not sure.

Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics

I posted that I use TVTonic to get RSS video feeds of random extreme sports including kiteboarding about a year and a half ago. You can't get this stuff on TV. So I just saw today that NBC and TVTonic are teaming up with MSFT to deliver the games to users for free. Its a 12 hour difference, so we'll...

Handlepassing Question

Currently, when I do a handlepass (unhooked jump without a backroll or anything, pull myself up, initiate the turn with my head, let go with back hand, pass, land one-handed)....the kite loops at the end. I don't reach up and grab with my other hand. I kinda like the kiteloop, but sometimes the kite...

Here's a thread on that: http://www.chicagokitesurfing.com/kiteboarding_messageboard/viewtopic.php?t=6007 The rider was unfortunately in 40 degree air temp, 40 degree water, and no hood, gloves or booties. It is a shame and I still can't believe what happened. V Chicago Kitesurfing http://www.chicag...

Youll need the 13m. I'm 193lbs and would need the 13m or even possibly the 15m but probably not, you can run the 13m pretty hard to get apparent wind.

I rode the 9m in 40-50mph on Monday. In the gusts it was tough to ride waves, had the kite CR depowered about 8 inches, and the bar all the way out.

In the lulls I was fine, littttt, but fine...

Not similar at all. The Fuel kite design changed quite a bit from 05 to 06. 05 kite was more low aspect and grunty, less upwindy. The 06 started the design to wider kite ends and higher aspect ratios.

I rode both in the last weeks, and more than once each. I have a couple REVs now, but rode the Helix 12m and a smaller size in the gorge a month ago, not sure what the size was anymore, maybe an 8m? Can't remember. Anyway, -The stability of both kites is good. -The Naish kite low end seems light. It...
