Wave Riding with a Foil Limits

I've been pushing my limits of kitesurfing foiling last couple of years. My new Armstrong Foils have allowed me to push harder in bigger waves and I finally had the break through session Jan 3rd 2018 at Hookipa and Lanes, Maui. http://malolohawaii.com/products/Armstrong-foils What I've learned. Beat...

Kevin Collins Wave Kitesurfing Foil Session Hookipa and Lanes, Maui Hawaii

Probably the most difficult thing you can do on a foil with a kite is ride larger waves. After three years I finally sort of figured it out on the perfect size and wind angle and Foil Set Up. Re: Liquid Force Elite foil

I have the 9m and 12m Elite kite (the same kites Julien used for the video here on Maui). I love the kites and I wasn't sure I would. It's my first Foil kite in over 14 years. (F-One monster almost took me out back in the day) These kites are easy to use and forgiving as a new foil kite rider. It's ...

Re: Liquid Force and Cabrinha after market Wings?

OBX-Toeside-Air-Tack.gif every wing has it's own feel. Why would foils be any different. They are pretty damn inherently efficient and I fully expect the next few years to be pretty exciting as we see the fun side get a bit more R&D. Right on, another like minded soul. Down to the nitty gritty thou...

Re: Liquid Force and Cabrinha after market Wings?

I agree with Hawaii´s There is a lot of fun and performance to gain with just a new front wing once you outgrow the big LF stock one. Our own design is high AR but fairly big at around 700cm^2 I also gain around 25-30% speed with my own higher AR wing than on the stock LF one. I have done a lot of ...

Re: Liquid Force and Cabrinha after market Wings?

I was thinking of upgrading to something faster and I saw the aftermarket wings posted. But for a few hundred $ more I can get a whole new aluminum foil to play with vs just wings. If there was a faster wing set in the $200 range I would consider upgrading/adding another wing set. Spending a lot of...

Re: Liquid Force and Cabrinha after market Wings?

The Liquid Force is a popular entry level foil. My friends who have them have progressed and now want to upgrade. My advice is that they should upgrade not just the wings, but certainly also the fuselage, mast, and board. CG (we have an expression in English: "You can't make a slik purse out...

Liquid Force and Cabrinha after market Wings?

Can some users of the beginner foil package from Liquid Force and Cabrinha give me their opinions about how quickly they feel they will out grow the large low aspect wings that come stock with the LF Foil Fish or the new Cabrinha Foil Package? Personally I out grew the wing very quickly and wanted t...

Re: After market Wings for LF, Cabrinha and Naish Foil Packa

All Malolo wings are carbon. Sorry the finish doesn't show it but our molding process leaves some pin holes so we are forced to fill them and paint over the carbon with a black primer. When sanded with 800 wet dry sand paper leaves a nice smooth finish.
