Re: Tips and Tricks to Repair Kites - add your experience!

Hi, cut as much of that green stuff away (if possible), while not damaging the bladder, then glue the valve base edge with PU glue. Leave to cure overnight. Also, cut off the "net of holes" off as (max in fi 24mm daim), as I see that this is ball valve - if you have our ball valve it already has pro...

Re: Valve Delaminating/Repair - 2009 Best HP Nemesis

Hi,

sometimes material is so bad that even Aquasure won't stick to it.

I am afraid but only new bladders are the solution in this case - if you are using this kite (and it is in good condition).

Re: LE bladder wear by elastic bladder retainer inside tip (Ozone)

Hi, I am afraid yes, sooner or later. The problem is lack of locking/securing mechanism on too long distance from the last valve to the tip end and the "cone" shape of wingtips. Bladder will get loose eventually and making free space in the tube, and once it will catch somewhere and make a nice bubb...

Re: LE bladder wear by elastic bladder retainer inside tip (Ozone)

Thank you! :thumb: One alternative - buy a foil kite, you won't have a problem with bladders :D :bye: Gigi is the kite designer :) Anyways, yeah tried to flap it, but did not work since went all back to first strut. No good really. But I do have a sealing machine handy :) :) Gigi is the kite designe...

Re: LE bladder wear by elastic bladder retainer inside tip (Ozone)

I would go against not fitting it thru retainer. But if you will do it make sure that bladder will fill the wingtip ends nicely every time you will pump the kite. What you could try to do is to protect the affected area with some bladder tape or maybe even mark cloth and make sure that it is positio...

Re: LE bladder wear by elastic bladder retainer inside tip (Ozone)

I wouldn't like to point out what is the cause, material, manufacturer, customer (ab)use, sand, salt,.... etc... just pointed out what customer can do to minimize the potential problems. I know what you are referring to. If you would do like you said you will move point of failure before that bungee...

Re: LE bladder wear by elastic bladder retainer inside tip (Ozone)

Hi, the bungee webbing is there for a reason - because of a design of the end strut there is no locking mechanism to hold the bladder in place, that's why it has to go thru that tiny bungee hole. Some brands use this solution but we never see any problems with it. Not using that bungee locker is not...

Re: Help finding replacement LE strut valve

Hi, if you can unstick it (if it's not cracked) you can fix it with this kit: http://drtuba.eu/all-kite-products/repair-products/refill-kits/product/valve-repair-kit If you find your valve cracked then you can find original replacement here: http://drtuba.eu/kite-bladders-valves/stickit-adhesive-sys...
