Hi, I also have an impact, I just changed this line, however I didnt know the exact length either. This is what i did, I bought a peace of 4 mm line (about 1m too long) to replace the thick line. Be sure to replace it with an uncovered line! A covered line wears out very fast. I also bought a clam c...

Gaastra Max windrange

Hi,

could someone inform me on the gaastra max windranges of the 14,12,10 and 8? The chart of gaastra is just impossible to understand.

Thanks!

Thanks, i'll look into it. I also have those regular balls as you can buy them at the local sail/surfshop. Maybe I'll try to find a way to use a screw to put it on the line. Are the screws in the SS stopperball made of metal? Or plastic to prevent "cutting" the line when you screw them on too tight?...

how to fix stopper ball to line?

Hi,

just made a setup with the sliding rings on one of the back lines. I was wondering how i can fix a stopper ball on the line to prevent the bar sliding up all the way to the kite when releasing.

Great input, Thanks! Keep it coming! Something that I noticed is that the backline snapping stories also exist, although you would think there isn't much pressure on the backlines. Linebreaking seems to be one of the dangers of kiting and it is good to think about what to do when it happens. So let ...

I did have lessons actually, but they never told me about breaking lines. Can't help it, wrong kiteschool i guess, but .. how could I know. Anyway, letting go of the bar will not do the trick when hooked in. Besides that, if your line with leash on it breaks, it could have a strange effect. First of...

a line breaks.....so what happens?

It could happen to all of us; one of the lines had an unnoticed knot or weak point...it breaks..... So, what happens, is the kite completely out of control? spinning in the powerzone or straight down? what is the difference in kite behaviour when breaking one of the front or one of the backlines? An...

which best / fast intermediate kite???

At this forum I have seen a lot of discussions about beginners who buy high performance kites to save money. But what about the intermediate level? I think most of the riders in the world are intermediate level? Started with a (4line) freeair 8.9 and I have been on the water with my twintip quite a ...
