Re: Nobile NHP Carbon VS Carved Imperator?

If I may, It is not the board only charging upwind. It is the straps angle + the board. Some straps are more angled than another. That changes the dynamics and easy to prove. Hence, I would look first at the straps I like, which are the best for my foot shape. Than, the process can be lengthy to fin...

Re: My first kitesurf board! Eps Foam okay ?

I do not work with foam, so can't tell. Well, I just finished some work on my HF board and the foam was 'eaten' with a polyester resin. The top of my board is a bamboo veneer, hidden below glass. It's a production board, just making it smaller, so that's a tip for you. 99% of TT are wood + glass fib...

Re: My first kitesurf board! Eps Foam okay ?

If I may, The problem is expectation. Very rarely the first board is great. Very very rarely. After 7 years of building and numerous failed attempts by many people I can say only persistent attempts succeeded. Hence, you might be way better off with building an Alia. Look for Zob user thread. An Ali...

Re: Do I really need a hot coat?

The weight is questionable, coz it's quite thin layer. A tt is more abraded with a sand than a HF so I would just spray it with a semi gloss PU varnish. I spray all my boards every season to add more UV and abrasive protection. And using super gloss Goldspar Original below water Marine varnish. Cust...

Good effort man! It's a journey which counts, not the destination:) To help you with the destination, a lot can be 'premade', and the rails are #1 to solve before going further :) I'll post again how I'm doing it and how fast this can be once you crack it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avcaKvaip14 ...

Re: Kite company's are out of their minds

Chill down ...no one is attacking you, this should be light hearted conversation. Of course I'll build my own kite, it's in the process :) thanks for reminding me to push it even more. Umm, I actually sell my boards for big bucks! Some people appreciate good hand made boards. Talking competing and f...

Re: Kite company's are out of their minds

Not bad economy tho ;) then why are you bitching about kite prices 🙄 last I checked you were part of the Commonwealth, the oldest global economy... But with Thurnbull & Julie spending like there’s no tomorrow you may not be abl...

Re: Flysurfer Soul

I tried kite racing yesterday, and there's a few really good guys, 4-5 good, 4-5 ok, then me. I've never raced before... Point: saw a few different foil kites, which are rare here. The Soul is an impressive looking kite, it's beautiful. There as a 12 and 15 in the air. But at same time, it's not mo...

BTW cheap economy & inflation go hand in hand; the central banks call the shots, not the producers. A healthy economy is run by producers, not banks & governments.

Or is that too logical?

No need for perfect flat on top, providing the wood IS dressed well.
