Re: WOO gen1 vs gen2 accuracy

^ wow, just wow...So basically u saying if not with us, shut up forever? Nice man. Put it this way, I boost high, higher than the most. But punished with woo1 by the accuracy, so everyone with woo2 is higher on the leaderboard. How does it feel? So I should get a woo2 for another $300? Than what? Wo...

Re: fuselage fabrication

Airsail, 3 layers of 200g cloth is less than 0.75 mm. The carbon tube with 1mm wall 22 mm diameter is flexy as when I stand on it. And that is biax. Sleeved carbon with the same wall would be even more flexy. For sure, bigger the diameter - better. When I stand on 30mm tube it does not bend that I c...

Re: fuselage fabrication

Uhmm, try to wrap a tube with a light carbon sleeve (or a FG by that matter), you'll see what a pain that is. You would need exact measurement to cover with a sleeve ie: http://www.sollercomposites.com/light-sleeves-sock.html To be more precise, the fibers are not close to each other when the sleeve...

Re: Chop friendly board with narrower stance

That does not matter, it a personal choice, style, environment, etc. But if the industry is pushing for big...Anyways, Toby is about 80-90, riding the same FS board.
I am only saying, it is possible to ride small and rip like a pro. And vice versa.

Re: Chop friendly board with narrower stance

FS Radical 4. 126/36.5

If I'm riding 120cm board, she can too. God, I just love small boards, duno where the industry is going with 140cm and over...Ridiculous.

What is the stance you're after in cm?

Re: fuselage fabrication

Ummm, the tube has definitely a release agent inside. If there isn't this would not just peel off: http://kiteforum.com/download/file.php?id=79319 Also, the tube is not a hydrodynamic shape. I mean, all fuselages are at least a bit shaped in that way. When you drill a tube for M6 inserts, the drille...

Re: Carbon Tow

Nah Tom,

got plenty of UNI. Nothing can beat this tape you're using (and me :) Since than, I've dumped the idea ow wrapping the fuselage with this since have just a tiny amount left.
Will wrap the fuselage with biax 45/45 (wings twisting a fuselage).

Re: fuselage fabrication

I've broken my tube in test phase, 22/20mm, this one (at the bottom): http://kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=199&t=2394338&start=80 3mm walls might be ok tho, but man, why would you pay 60E for that? I've paid 10$ for the above tube, so it's ok as one off. A wood piece slightly tapered from 28mm to 20...

Re: According to Google Trends, kiteboarding is declining in popularity

Ummm

Lets face it, the new gear is waaaay to expensive.

I live in the Oz (yep it is really that good), and bless this country for a 2nd hand gear.

The EU can only dream of this prices. And that is a big obstacle.
