Re: Recommended small board for traveling

Hey, My dream right now is to be able to take my Foiling setup strapped on a backpack on bicycle.. At the moment I'm struggling with the board (currently have the LF fun foil, upgrading to Zeeko).. I looked around for candidate boards around the 110cm range and what I found is the mini pocket by ze...

Re: New Shinn Lineup

So the Ronson... I’ve spent a good few hours on it from being maxxed to just powered on a 6m in some pretty heavy wind-blown waves to powered 12m session in some flat-choppy conditions. It appears to be the ‘replacement’ of the Ultrasonic in the Shinn line-up and if Mark was looking to bridge the g...

Re: NEWBIE questions and board question

Welcome to Kitesurfing sir. The board looks like an oldie but good enough to get you started if it's free. Good call on taking the leash off. It's better to lose your board than get brained by it. As regards kite size you will need a bigger kite for 13 knots. My buddy is a light weight like yourself...

Re: Sun protection

I ride in the south east asian sun and its absolutely brutal even when overcast especially if you are a pale skinned caucasian. In terms of sun cream if you have really fair skin and suffer in the sun this stuff is the absolute daddy. Except no substitute. http://www.watsons.com.sg/Product-Categorie...

Re: New board advice

Re: Freeride board for beginners?

1. Which of these would you recommend for my needs? Is there anything better that's not on the list? I love the Shinn boards. I've used a few brands and I don't think I will ever switch. The package of comfort, build quality and performance does it for me across the range. If you want an 'allrounder...

Re: selecting a kiteboard

I ride a Monk. Great board, fast, fantastic build quality and phenomenal in chop. You will have a lot of fun with the Monk. If its money no object go for its carbon cousin the Bronq. If you want a similar 'Shinn feel' but even better upwind ability than the Monk try the Ultrasonic. As regards the Ca...
