I would say a lot of intermediate kiteboarders behave on water like dicks, especialy those, who think they can control the kite and are jumping, jibing next to you, yanking the kite without any reason forth and back... Never had any problems with pros or advanced kiteriders, somehow one can figure ...

It's not about the lightness, more about the stiffness.

Aluminum alloy is prone to bending.
