Re: Short Lines with surfboard

Ignoring the problem shorter lines creates in terms of social distancing, 10m is too short IMO but try them and see what you think. YMMV.
15m is the shortest I ride with and like them depending on the conditions. But with a small kite its like having a flea on a thread.

Re: Kiting in Florida

I am sorry you lost the spot, west of Atlantis? Idiots on the inside, 95% of the access problems we have in this sport. Is it still possible to launch off of Cabbage Beach well to the east of the Atlantis complex and west of the denser groups of people on the beach? Miami has had problems since 200...

Re: Kiting in Florida

Jeepers. Had no idea it was that bad. All that beach and just a few spots to pick your way through... We had our best primo spot (private - owned by Atlantis) banned because a relatively new kiter insisted on showing off inside the swimming buoys despite being warned. But we have several other spots...

Re: Kiting in Florida

Thx for the replies. So as I read it, if I’m staying at a hotel on the beach in between 87th St and Meade St, basically Aventura, the closest spot is either of those two and I cannot launch anywhere in between? That’s a lot of no-fly zone.

Kiting in Florida

Will be visiting the Sunny Isles/Aventura/Golden Beach area in November for long enough that I would consider bringing my stuff especially if there’s a front in the forecast. Can you kite in or near these areas? I’ve been kiting for a long time in The Bahamas (and elsewhere) in only waves at this po...

Re: Nassau

I was there in the beginning of December.. got skunked... South Beach had nothing even when the north side of the island had ok wind but off shore... very strange... I ended up foiling on south wind in the channel between Paradise Island and Nassau... very sketchy but better then going to South bea...

Re: Nassau

1. Spots- yes- several.
2. Conditions- varied.
3. Rentals- no

So, without their own gear, 1 and 2 are sadly of no consequence.

Re: Ride Engine harness bar question

Tried it out in a 3 hr wave session. Really nice harness. Very comfortable and supportive.
But I think I will try the 12" bar though. Def could be wider.

Re: Ride Engine harness bar question

Thx. I am 33" and so far winning the battle of the bulge. Med harness fits great. I hear what you are saying about the CF 12". If it was 10" and pretty flat it would be less of and issue but it needs to contour if longer. I haven't actually been on the water yet with it so I'll try the steel 10" and...
