Re: T-Shirts for Kitesurfing

Guys, I had no intention to steal the design or create anything of value. It was for information only. Surely one can create proper graphics in photoshop, spending more than 2 minutes.. and still have it for about $10. Nothing wrong with supporting the artist. It's just whenever I see a cotton t-shi...

Not sure if you guys are aware, but you can "design" those shirts by yourself.. here is the 12/9/7 shirt after 2 minutes (literally) of playing with design tool at teespring.com All you do is just type in the text and allign/rotate and color it. front.jpg it's $10.23 shipped.. here is the link (alth...

Re: OR Soul: is this over kill for cold water protection?

I bought some thin 2mm neoprene layers, a top and a bottom, that I use under my drysuit. I layer them over my first layer and below my fleece. It's enough protection that if I land on my drysuit and cut it open I have a few hours of strength that let me get back to shore even if I'm pretty far out....

Re: OR Soul: is this over kill for cold water protection?

Another possible advice is to go with HEAT instead of SOUL to save money. The main differences are the hood and the peezip. I actually removed hood from my soul as it just limits my view and collects water during wipeouts. and peezip.. I can usually hold for a couple of hours anyway.. I think I may ...

Re: OR Soul: is this over kill for cold water protection?

I still have 1.0 version of soul, which I bought at Amazon 3 years ago at ~50% off as they were dumping the inventory in favor of updated version. The suit is great and robust if you take care of it. I had more than 100 sessions in it and it's still going strong, with some minor fixes: fixed 2 slow ...

If you really interested in these stats, get a woo app (free), create a login and browse activity section, or daily leaderboards. Most people would specify the gear they used and under what conditions. From what I have seen there, most small kites can go big on a windy day (not many 0-1 strut wave k...

Re: Woo vs Xensr

I heard that the woo should soon be compatible with apple watch $250 (woo) plus apple watch $350 = $600. $0 Xenser app plus apple watch $350 = $350. Good luck measuring your jumps with the watch alone. The only way to do it is to throw it down at the apex of your jump and count seconds before it hi...

Re: Hydrofoil as a carry on for airlines

I would not risk it.. I once had to give up a pump at JFK (regular plastic kite pump from ozone). They thought it would present danger! On another occasion, I spent 15 minutes explaining to them that my ozone bar IS NOT a weapon. Shit, a week ago, in Cancun, they got so excited when they found a pla...
