Re: Which Hydrofoil to choose ?

Why go with an oldfashioned foil?
Zeeko Airwave 5,2 with a Spitfire (Canard) foil and XLW (Lightwind) Wings + slingshot Foothooks.

Nothing you can do wrong there!

Re: Wear and tear on Zeeko Foil/Board/NSI foothooks

For me the 3mm inox support is perfect. Got 3 made for 25 Euros in total here in Tunesia - guess in Europe it will be 25 Euros each.
It will still break above them, so safe but durable.

But 35 Euros + 25 Euros (Slingshot + Inox) looks like a good price to me!

Re: A15 vs Aurora2 for kite foilboarding?

Thats 8,6 knots. No need for ultralight version there. Aurora2 is faster and more efficient, A15 obviously a bit easier. I'd go for 12m Aurora2 standard and a big foil wing. If you want to cover absolute lowend, 15m ultralight. I, 90kg with Zeeko Carver use the 19m - but I like my kites big and with...

Re: Foot hooks question

Its a matter of taste I would say! For water starting you only need one (surprisingly this works in the front or back - a bit easier in the front) Two hooks in the front give more control at high speed. Three or two hooks (front + back) will give you the ability to jump. I use NSI but now switch to ...

Re: 2018 North Bars

North hasn't learnt a thing? Still no return of the microloop/hook?

Everyone I see around beaches is doing Airstyle on Boards or Foils.

Good that Flysurfer comes up with a Microhook/loop!

Wear and tear on Zeeko Foil/Board/NSI foothooks

Just a little report to share my experience after 18 months with about 60 days on the water Alloy foil: Very hard to kill it, even with my heavy abuse (ramming into ground, failed jumps fully loaded). Wings can easily be spray painted after every season. I used lots of Tikal Tefgel, no corrosion at ...
