Re: Best USCG buoyancy and impact vest for kitesurfing and windsurfing?

Disclaimer: I sell these... NP also offers this vest that is USCG approved, though I can't offer any experience using these. https://www.npsurf.com/collections/flotation-vests/products/neo-flotation-vest-uscg The High Hook Vest from NP looks so much like a regular boating vest, I think it would like...

Re: Oceanus kite reels: i still see them

Back around...2002, I guess, I was using one when I first moved to Oahu. My friends there had warned me not to use them, that they weren't safe, upwind bodydragging was the way to go. I waved them off, told them there's nothing to worry about this, I've been riding with one for a year or so with no ...

Re: Kurtis Goggles

Great goggles! Same issue. No response. Can’t wait any longer. Just bought a pair of LIP Typhoon RX to get the photo chromatic lenses. Can’t believe no other eyeglass company offers light weight water goggles with a neoprene/Velcro strap. Sounds like an opportunity for someone with time on their ha...

Re: New Lines

**Disclaimer, I sell bars... Good gosh man, just upgrade to a new bar. You can find lots of bars out there on closeout that are going to be just a little more than the replacement line set. And the safety systems have evolved to work significantly better and more reliably since back then. Bonus? You...

Re: Need kevlar booties

These are supposed to be super tough: http://www.getfyf.com/ As I understood it, they started with kevlar but moved on to dynema or similar as it was a better option for clothing. Haven't used them. Would like to try a pair though but they are a bit pricey. I am planning on getting a pair of these ...

Re: Dakine option spreader

I just bought one and I suggest you consider getting one that is 1 size smaller than the normal bar you use. The reason is that the end that has the attachment clip on it is very long which once attached makes the distance between your strap attachment points father apart. To compensate for this I ...

Re: Dakine option spreader

Gdday folks! My Mystic Warrior is about to fall apart after 5 years of abuse :thumb: ...Still going strong, but and I'm afraid its going to break on a windy day. I ride mostly strapless freestyle and some waves. Want to buy a Dakine C1 harness with option spreader bar. And my question is this. The ...

Re: Prodigy??

Not that it really matters, but I am also in the process of renewing my quiver and plan 17m/12m Flites and 9.5m and 7m Prodigys. I have the 12m coming and would have the rest but both my kids just had wisdom teeth removed, so I gave all my money to an oral surgeon who is probably kiting on new kite...

Re: Prodigy??

I would go 12m flite and 17m. I have also thought of dumping my 17m , But on those low teen days it can be a game changer. I find the 12m flite needs around 14mph to make it worth while were you can stay up wind and practice some move. The 17m can do the same around 11mph IMO. ALL of that!! :thumb:
