Re: Tips for learning to kite with a prosthetic leg.

Currently I am teaching kitesurfing to a man with 1 above the knee prosthetic leg. In the hope to find information about this I contacted Bille and searched through the forum. Bille said let's make this a public topic and here we are: This thread is meant to collect as much information as possible ...

OR lives in an area where there is lots of kelp, floating logs, and rocks. Probably not going to be high on the list of things to get done RIGHT NOW! ;)

Re: Hung Vu, a kitesurfing pioneer, how did he help you?

He was my earliest reference on kiteboarding. I started teaching myself on 2 line kites back in 2000 in Wisconsin and there was no one around to watch or ask questions. His commentary on going up wind was crucial in my finally getting it right. I was SOOOOO tired of getting blown to the other side o...

Re: Ocean Rodeo Flite Impressions

Not being able to relaunch a 10m in sub-7 knot winds is sort of like not being able to fly a 17m in 30 knot winds very comfortably. Just almost not enough canopy to provide something for the wind to push on at that level. I have spent an incredible amount of time on the Flites; I own a quiver of the...

Are you always this loaded when you film your tricks or was this a particularly windy day for you ?
You must have forgotten who you're talking about. Toby ONLY rides an 18m ever, no matter the wind. SO yes, he's always riding loaded.

Re: Damaged ribs = Seat harness....help

Bob, Good to hear you're still getting after it, but don't destroy that knee again! :nono:  Being a dealer just like you, I can get anything I want. I use both waist and seat, depending on what I'm doing. For riding powered, there's no substitute for the comfort of the seat. And just like you,...
